The Minimalist Stack I Recommend to Most People (Even Non-Lifters)

It’s not meant to be flashy.
It’s built for function.
Most “all-in-one” supplements on the market are bloated with fillers like soy lecithin, which is an emulsifier linked to inflammation and cellular disruption. This one is different.

1. Creatine Monohydrate (5–10g daily)

One of the most researched compounds in human physiology.
Creatine increases intramuscular phosphocreatine stores, enhancing ATP regeneration — the body’s immediate energy source.
It improves muscular strength, power output, and lean mass, while also supporting brain function, working memory, and neuroprotection in aging adults.

Clinical trials have shown cognitive benefits in older adults and vegetarians, whose baseline levels are often lower due to reduced dietary intake.

2. L-Glutamine (5–10g daily, in divided doses)

A conditionally essential amino acid crucial for gut mucosal integrity, immune cell function, and ammonia detoxification.
Under stress, illness, or overtraining, glutamine stores are rapidly depleted — impairing recovery and compromising the intestinal barrier.

Research supports its role in restoring tight junction proteins and reducing gut permeability (aka “leaky gut”) in high-stress states.

3. Glucosamine Sulfate + Chondroitin (1500mg + 1200mg daily)

Both compounds are structural components of cartilage. Glucosamine supports cartilage regeneration and hydration, while chondroitin inhibits enzymatic degradation of joint tissues.
Taken together, they may reduce joint pain, improve mobility, and slow the progression of osteoarthritis over time.

Several long-term studies suggest a modest but clinically meaningful reduction in knee pain with consistent use — especially in aging or high-impact populations.

4. Astaxanthin (4–12mg daily)

A potent carotenoid antioxidant found in microalgae, with strong lipid membrane-stabilizing properties.
Astaxanthin has been shown to reduce oxidative stress, improve visual acuity, enhance skin elasticity, and even support mitochondrial function.

It crosses the blood–retina and blood–brain barriers, making it uniquely protective for both ocular and neurological tissues.

5. Magnesium Glycinate (200–400mg elemental magnesium daily)

Magnesium is a cofactor in over 300 enzymatic reactions — critical for neuromuscular function, glucose regulation, DNA repair, and sleep architecture.
The glycinate form is chelated with glycine, an inhibitory neurotransmitter, making it ideal for calming the nervous system without gastrointestinal side effects common in other forms.

Widespread subclinical magnesium deficiency has been linked to sleep disruption, muscle cramps, anxiety, and insulin resistance.
