If I Wanted to Lose Weight and Build Muscle I'd Eat This

This 20-Minute Meal Will Be Your Next Staple for Weight Loss or Gains—Your Call

Need to lose weight? Pack on muscle? Or just want to eat like you actually care about your body?

Here’s a go-to meal I make in under 20 minutes that works for any goal — just adjust your portions.

The Steak
Drizzle with EVOO, then hit both sides with Himalayan salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Let it marinade for 15 minutes. Grill it hot and fast. Rest it. Slice it.

The Shrimp
Lightly salt them, toss on the grill or pan. Melt butter, squeeze in lemon, and pour it over the shrimp. Use local, raw shrimp if possible — it makes a real difference.

The Salad
Use spinach or spring mix. I like to throw in green garlic-stuffed olives and a spicy chili pepper for flavor and crunch.

Homemade Dressing
In a glass bottle, mix:

  • 1 diced shallot

  • Olive oil and balsamic vinegar (balanced to your liking)

  • Salt, pepper

  • Juice from one whole lime

Shake it up. This lasts the whole week

I make this all the time. It’s simple, flavorful, and incredibly satisfying especially after a hard workout.
